Bengal Warriors
The Bengal Warriors have not lost a game in their last five matches although they have tied two of them. The team has found an excellent balance and is easily one of the most impressive sides this season. It is going to be hoping for some more heroics from its raiding trio led by Maninder Singh.
No side has scored more points or has a better points difference than the Bengal Warriors so far. Maninder Singh, K Prapanjan, and Mohammad Esmail Nabibakhsh have been very good at ensuring that the Bengal Warriors never have to worry about getting enough raid points.
In fact, the competition between the three raiders is heating up as well. Maninder Singh was the clear leader of the pack and while that position remains intact, K Prapanajan is closing up on him in the total points tally as well.
The defense is going to be led by Baldev Singh who has marshaled his troops brilliantly. We always worry about Rinku narwal in the defense because he is a bit of a loose cannon but overall, the Bengal Warriors do not have any major weaknesses at this point in time.
Haryana Steelers
Four matches from their last five matches have helped the Haryana Steelers ascend rapidly in the league standings. Is it any surprise that this rise has come from the time that Vikash Kandola has made a comeback into the team? We don’t think so.
The lead raider for the Haryana Steelers has been racking up Super-10’s and is in sensational form. He will know that the Bengal Warriors defense is vulnerable to some swift footwork and we can expect Vikash to be targeting their cover defenders in this match.
Naveen and Prashant Kumar Rai are also going to be keen to make more of an impact in the PKL. The Haryana Steelers may be up against the best scoring team of the league but they are not short on firepower either.
Dharmraj Cherlathan is going to be leading the defense for the Haryana Steelers. The old warhorse has adapted his game to the need of the hour and is actively looking for tackle points rather than just sitting back and waiting for the mistakes.
With Vikas Kale, Chand Singh, and Ravi Kumar also finding their feet, the Haryana Steelers defense is a formidable one.
The Haryana Steelers have a perfect record against the Bengal Warriors. They have not lost a single point to them in their history and have a 2-0 record against them.
History may be against the Bengal Warriors but we don’t think they are going to be bothered about that. The form shown by the Bengal Warriors has been fantastic and they are likely to win this game as well.
Bet on the Bengal Warriors to win.
