Bengal Warriors
There are not too many weaknesses or faults in the Bengal Warriors team at the moment. Their raiding unit has been performing very well thanks to the form of Maninder Singh who is averaging a Super-10 per game.
Mohammad Nabi Bakhsh and K Prapanjan have been very good as support raiders as well and have been putting the pressure on the opposition in every single match. The Bengal Warriors always have a good attacking option on the mat with these three in the starting seven.
The defense has been very effective too. Baldev Singh is leading the defense with solid support from Rinku Narwal. The real challenge for the Bengal Warriors has been to maintain their intensity for the entire 40 minutes.
No team has a better point differential than the Bengal Warriors at this stage of the PKL and that shows just how good they can be when they are on song.
U Mumba
U Mumba’s defense is going to be tested by a strong raiding unit from the Bengal Warriors. We have often said that the performance of Fazel Atrachali dictates whether U Mumba is going to win or not and we stick by it.
Surinder Singh is consistently very good but Fazel Atrachalai can go up and down on days. This is why when he is playing well, the U Mumba defense is close to impregnable. If Surinder Singh, who is the lead defender for U Mumba with 20 tackle points, can find a way to neutralize Maninder Singh then U Mumba is going to be in the hunt. Sandeep narwal should not be counted out either although his tendency to make errors is something that U Mumba is not going to be too happy about.
Abhishek Singh started PKl 2019 with a lot of energy and has just slowed up a little. The raiding unit for U Mumba is going to be a concern in this match. Abhishek Singh, Arjun Deshwal, and Rohit Baliyan are going to be up against a very good defense and they have not shown the kind of form that was expected of them so far.
U Mumba has a tremendous record against the Bengal Warriors. They have won 10 out of the 11 matches the two teams have played against each other in the past and that is not a record to be taken lightly.
We think that the U Mumba defense has been very successful against Maninder Singh in the past and they certainly have the capability to contain him once again. The question is going to be about the raiding abilities of U Mumba in this match. We think it is worth the price to bet on them to win.
