Dabang Delhi K.C. made it to the Super Playoffs on the back of a superb home run which saw them five out of the six matches and tie the other one. They have then carried on that momentum towards the end of the tournament and been a worthy inhabitant of a Super Playoff spot.
The success of Dabang Delhi K.C. has depended on the form of their three outstanding raiders. Naveen Kumar, Meraj Sheykh, and Chandran Ranjit have been brilliant for Dabang Delhi K.C. this season.
Naveen Kumar is the highest scorer for the side while Meraj Sheykh has been superb in do or die raids. Chandran Ranjit could well be a lead raider in another franchise but as a secondary raider, he is one of the very best going around.
This trio of raiders is going to have a tough challenge getting past some very experienced Bengal Warriors defenders that are in excellent form. Dabang Delhi K.C. has some experienced defenders in its own side as well.
Ravinder Pahal and Joginder Singh Narwal have been around for long enough to know what is needed of them in this game. The pair of them will want to make sure that the other players in the side remain calm and don’t make mistakes to mess up their chances.
The Bengal Warriors finished second in Zone B after a good season in which Maninder Singh came into this own towards the end and the defenders stood out as well. As important as Maninder Singh has been for the Bengal Warriors, PO Surjeet Singh and Rann Singh are going to be the key players for the Bengal Warriors in this game.
If Surjeet Singh and Rann Singh are able to find a way to keep the Delhi raiders quiet then that will be the match for the Bengal Warriors. If, however, they are unable to do that then we don’t think Maninder Singh or Jang Kun Lee is going to be able to win them the game.
Maninder Singh has been excellent without being at his best and we continue to raise some questions about his ability to perform under intense pressure.
The head to head between the Bengal Warriors and Dabang Delhi K.C. is shared 5-5 after 11 matches with the remaining match being a tie. Dabang Delhi K.C. has lost just one match in its last seven matches while the Bengal Warriors have also been very impressive and lost just two.
One of those losses came against Dabang Delhi K.C., however.
The Bengal Warriors are definitely the more experienced side in this contest. Both the sides have good defenders that should cancel each other out and so the match will come down to the better raiders.
We think Naveen Kumar has the potential to be a future great in the Pro Kabaddi League and that he could be the difference in this match. The raiding trio of Dabang Delhi K.C. should be able to win them this game.
Back =Dabang Delhi K.C. to win.
