The Gujarat Fortunegiants are a very well-rounded side that was expected to be one of the title contenders in PKL 2019. They missed out narrowly after dominating the group stages and will be hoping to make that leap this season.
The professional manner in which they have started their PKL 2019 campaign has impressed us. They have one of the best defenses in the league and it is going to be tested by the talented Dabang Delhi K.C. raiding unit.
Sunil Kumar and Parvesh Bhainswal lead the defense for the Gujarat Fortunegiants. They are among the best in the business and ensure that no opposition has an easy point to take from them at any point in time.
The Gujarat Fortunegiants have the highest average tackle points per game and the second-highest number of all-outs inflicted on the opposition at this stage in the tournament.
The offense for the Gujarat Fortunegiants is led by Sachin Tanwar. He was a sensation last season and has shown no signs of slowing up this time around either. He has been very quick on the mat and is constantly able to find points up for grabs.
He is someone who could make life tough for a Dabang Delhi K.C. defense that can sometimes be caught napping.

Three wins from three matches are not something that we expected from Dabang Delhi K.C at the start of the tournament. Yes, the team is a strong one with most bases covered but it has always lacked a little in consistency.
We think the form of Naveen Kumar has been the difference so far for Dabang Delhi K.C. in close games. He is able to pull them from losing position into winning ones and helps defends the lead once Dabang Delhi K.C. is ahead.
He has the most number of points, most raid points, and most successful raids at this early stage in the tournament. It may be a bit premature to say but we think he is on course for a 200 points plus season.
Naveen Kumar is very well supported by Chandran Ranjit and Meraj Sheykh in the raiding department as well.
The defense has been led well by Ravinder Pahal and Joginder Narwal, although we don’t think Vishal Mane has been at his best so far. There is room for improvement in the Dabang Delhi K.C. defense and they must not bank on Naveen Kumar to keep bailing them out from difficult positions.
Naveen Kumar has 31 raid points, two super-10’s, and 26 successful raids to his name. he is the leader in all of these categories at the moment.
Gujarat Fortunegiants are averaging 15.5 tackle points per game, the most for any side in the league so far.
It will be interesting to see who prevails in this match.
We think that Dabang Delhi K.C. has a slight edge over the Gujarat Fortunegiants because of the depth in their raiding unit. The form of Naveen Kumar could once again be the difference between the two sides.
