Gujarat Fortune Giants
Rakesh took over the role of lead raider in the previous match and while he ended up with 14 points on the night, it was not near enough to help his team win. In fact, the Gujarat giants failed to pick up a single point from that match. The raiding department has been a massive pain point for the Gujarat Giants. They let go of their best raider and are now struggling for raid points in every single game. The defense is also a shadow of what it was at its best. The Gujarat Giants are spiraling and if something does not change very quickly, the entire season could become a punishment for the team and its supporters.
U Mumba
U Mumba will be hoping that this match against the Gujarat Giants gives it the opportunity to regain some form at this important stage in the Pro Kabaddi league 2021-22 season. U Mumba is in eight and still has a good chance of making it into the top-6. For that to happen, though, U Mumba needs to win these matches against teams that it is expected to beat. Abhishek Singh is going to play a central role once more as the lead raider and will be well supported by V Ajith. U Mumba's raiding duo has seen a bit out of form in the last few matches but we still expect them to do well against the struggling Gujarat Giants.
U Mumba is also not at its best while defending but it is up against quite possibly the worst raiding team of PKL 2021-22. Surely Fazel Atrachali and company will be able to make their presence felt in this match.
