A lackluster performance against Puneri Paltan saw it fall to a shock defeat and the Gujarat Giants continue to search for answers. Their raiding department has been quite toothless and they have just not been able to find an able replacement for Sachin. We simply do not understand why they did not retain their best raider but now it is too late to repent. Ajay Kumar picked up tend points in the previous match but Rakesh Narwal could only manage a single point in the entire match. We are not at all confident about the raiding capabilities of the Gujarat Giants at the moment.
Their defense has been okay without being extraordinary. For a team that is not being able to get points attacking, it needs to more than makeup for that in the defense but that has not been happening either.
Patna Pirates
In a lot of ways, the Patna Pirates are the exact opposite of the Gujarat Giants as a kabaddi team. While the Gujarat Giants are struggling to find one good raider, the Patna Pirates have three. Monu Goyat, Sachin, and Prashanth Kumar Rai. It is going to be a bit ironic to see Sachin attack his old team but we expect him to be a bit more motivated than usual! The Patna Pirates have a huge advantage in the attack. We have also seen the Patna Pirates get better in defense as the Pro Kabaddi League 2021-22 season has progressed. The team is now looking solid on all fronts and is going to be very hard to beat.
