Gujarat Fortunegiants
The lack of form from Sachin Tanwar is hurting the Gujarat Fortunegiants badly. He is the best raider on the team by far but he is not able to have the same kind of impact that he did last season. It is Rohit Gulia that is leading the raid point scoring and while that is commendable, we are sure the Telugu Titans would back themselves to keep Rohit Gulia quiet rather than a rampant Sachin Tanwar.
The defense is very strong and it is only a few recent matches where some mistakes have started to creep in.
Parvesh Bhainswal and Sunil Kumar have a very good record against Siddharth Desai and they are not going to let the out of form raider have an easy time in this match. The Gujarat Fortunegiants will see this match as a must-win to get their home season back on track and that could make them a bit error-prone.
Telugu Titans
The Telugu Titans bet the house on Siddharth Desai and he has not been able to perform the same kind of heroics as last year. He is good enough to win matches on his own like Pawan Kumar Sehrawat but he must prove that he is not just a one-season wonder.
Siddharth Desai did get a Super-10 in the previous match and we think it will be Armaan who comes in as the second raider rather than Suraj Desai.
Vishal Bhardwaj is superb in defense but the lack of tackle points from Abozar Mohajermighani is hurting the Titans. There is nothing to lose for the Telugu Titans as this stage. They are already in the last place and their chances of making the playoffs look remote at best.
They must play freely and give it their all.
The Gujarat Fortunegiants have a 2-0 record against the Telugu Titans and have never dropped a point against the in their history.
We are hoping that a combination of the home-team curse and Siddharth Desai coming back into form is able to give the Telugu Titans its first win of the season.
