Gujarat Fortunegiants
Three wins on the trot have been followed by two losses and even though there is nothing to be concerned about just now, the Gujarat Fortunegiants would like to get back to winning ways. The Gujarat Fortunegiants defense has been excellent in the matches that they have won but was a little error-prone on the two occasions they lost the match.
This is not something that the Gujarat Fortunegiants expect of themselves and we may see some re-jigging of the defensive positions.
Sunil Kumar and Parvesh Bhainswal will remain right where they have always been and be the players to take the attack to the tamil Thalaivas offense.
Sachin Tanwar and Rohit Gulia are the two leading raiders for the side right now. It is Rohit Gulia that has the most number of raid points for the Gujarat Fortunegiants this season and we are certaion that Sachin Tanwar would not be happy about that!
Tamil Thalaivas
A close escape against UP Yoddha in the previous match would have set the pulse rate racing of every Tamil Thalaivas fans. There must be some residual unhappiness about their star-studded team’s inability to win more consistently.
Rahul Chaudhari has been excellent for the Tamil Thalaivas but Ajay Thakur has been pretty much absent from proceedings. For a man who is considered as one of the best and most consistent raiders, Ajay Thakur has had trouble making the most of his opportunities in PKL 2019.
Manjeet Chillar, Ran Singh, and Ajeet have been the pillars of the defense with Mohit Chillar also providing plenty of tackles to the cause.
What is the reason then that the Tamil Thalaivas have not been winning as much? We think the problem is with the raiding department and an over-reliance on Rahul Chaudhari to bail them out. The team must be flexible enough to swap out Ajay Thakur if he is not in form and give their bench a chance.
There have only been two matches between the Gujarat Fortunegiants and the Tamil Thalaivas. Both teams have won one match each.
Winning at home has not been an easy task for the teams in PKL. Last season, though, the Gujarat Fortunegiants were one of two teams that dominated their home leg and gave their fans plenty to cheer about.
Bet on the Gujarat Fortunegiants to win.
