U Mumba
U Mumba has been pretty consistent in its performances throughout the season although it has not been at best. Unlike some of the other teams which have veered between being brilliant or dismal, U Mumba has been a steady adequate throughout.
Now is the time to start ramping up the gears and build towards a strong finish.
U Mumba’s defense has started coming together very nicely thanks to the good form of Arjun Deshwal, Abhishek Singh, and Athul MS. These are the three players that are going to be responsible for maintaining the momentum for U Mumba in this match and those that follow.
The mantle of lead raider has changed in the side but Abhishek Singh is the one that is firmly placed as the go-to man for U Mumba right now.
The defense has been brilliant thanks to Fazel Atrachalai, Surinder Singh, and Sandeep Narwal. All three of them know that Pardeep Narwal is going to come hard at them and they will be ready. With nothing to lose really from this game, U Mumba could make some changes and give it's lead players a rest also.
Patna Pirates
The fight that Pardeep Narwal put up for the Patna Pirates this season has been extinguished and the three-time champions are no longer in the running for a playoff spot. It was always going to be tough for the Patna Pirates to depend solely on the efforts of one man with. Jang Kun Lee played a few good matches as the support raider but he had a forgetful season on the whole.
Jaideep in the defense started the season very well but fell off and the others also were not able to pick up the slack.
It is just about playing for pride for the Patna Pirates and we hope they will make some changes in the side and give some youngsters a go. Puneri Paltan found some gems when forced to do so by injury and we are sure the Patna Pirates can do the same.
Pardeep Narwal also has the opportunity to end the season on a high and end up as the lead raider once again, although, that is going to be very tough to achieve.
U Mumba has a big 8-4 lead over the Patna Pirates in head to head matches. There was an additional match that ended in a 1-1 tie.
We think that it is going to be tough for the Patna Pirates to motivate themselves now that their season is over. U Mumba has a stronger side in every aspect of the game and should be able to win this match easily.
