U Mumba
U Mumba has not been able to win a single match in its previous four outings. Two losses and two ties have seen it slip down the standings. However, the table is still very closely packed together and one or two good results will send U Mumba back up to the qualification zone. The problem for U Mumba this season has been its tentative approach. That is probably down to a lack of confidence and bad form. Abhishek Singh is just not taking enough chances as the lead raider and the defense is also a bit too docile. Kabaddi is all about finding the right balance between attack and defense and that is where U Mumba is lacking.
It does not help that Fazel Atrachali is having one of his worst-ever PKL seasons. As the leader of the attack, his lack of confidence spreads to all the other players of the team.
U Mumba needs this win against the Telugu Titans and in fact, has a lot more to lose.
Telugu Titans
Rajnish and Adarsh T played very well against the Jaipur Pink Panthers and ensured that they finally get over the hump that had been stopping them from getting their first victory. The two raiders are going to be at the center of Telugu Titans' strategy in this match as well. There is a lot of inexperience in the Telugu Titans camp and collectively they might have all played fewer matches than Fazel Atrachali alone, however, that should not mean you count them out. The Titans have managed to push more than a few teams and we really do believe that they are better than what the stats suggest.
Not a single player from either one of these teams finds a place in the top-10 raiders of PKl 2021-22. Only Rinku from U Mumba is in the top10- defenders of this season.
We are going to bet on U Mumba to win this match. Neither of these two teams fills us with confidence but U Mumba does seem to have a bit more quality in its ranks. Also, its experience may count for something as the pressure increases on both teams.
