Pardeep Narwal played another lone hand in the loss against Jaipur Pink Panthers as the Patna Pirates defense has not been able to live up to expectations. Jang Kun Lee and Mohammad Esmaeil Maghsoudlou have been very disappointing and they must get their act together very quickly.
Maghsoudlou was not able to score one single point in the last game and for a man that comes with such a huge reputation, such performances are just not acceptable.
Maybe the Patna Pirates need to rethink their strategy a little to get some better results.
The defense of Jaideep, Hadi Oshtorak, and Monu has been much better than the offense and has kept the Patna Pirates in the match for a long time. Puneri Paltan is one fo the weakest teams in the competition and we expect the Patna Pirates to dominate them in every aspect.
Puneri Paltan
Three losses from three matches have left Puneri Paltan in a very bad state. The loss of Nitin Tomar has been more than the side is able to overcome and we don’t think he is going to be coming back any time soon.
Pawan Kumar Kadian and Manjeet are the raiders for the Puneri Paltan right now and they have to find a way to get past the strong Patna Pirates defense. We don’t think there is going to be any lack of effort but they just don’t have the experience to be able to navigate these tricky situations.
Here is the real question, though. Does Puneri Paltan have some promising youngsters in its squad on which it can take a chance and turn things around? We don’t think so but would love to be proved wrong.
The defense, in the meantime, is going to be led by Sushant Sail, Amit Kumar, and Pankaj Mohite under the stewardship of Surjeet Singh. The offense is a bit weak for Puneri Paltan but the defense certainly has the capability to keep the pressure on a Patna Pirates raiding unit that is struggling already.
Puneri Paltan will have to play out of its skin to be able to win this match against the Patna Pirates.
The Patna Pirates have won out of the 13 matches against Puneri Paltan and lost just one. The remaining two matches have been tied. This is a huge advantage for the Patna Pirates and will definitely leave a psychological scar.
The Patna Pirates are clear favorites to win this match and we think they will be able to do it. They have the defense to stop Puneri Paltan and the offense can come back into form as well in this match.
