Telugu Titans
The Telugu Titans have struggled to find any sort of momentum this season and although they have two ties to their name, they have just not been in the contest in most matches. Rajnish, Ankit Beniwal, and Rakesh Gowda were the raiders that took the mat for the Telugu Titans in the previous match. They were out of their depth against the U Mumba defense, not the strongest in the Pro Kabaddi League, and will have a tougher task when they take on the Gujarat Giants. Surinder Singh, one of the most experienced defenders of the Telugu Titans, is also going through a very rough patch of form right now.
Ruturaj Koravi is one of the players that has shown some zeal and been a rock of their defense. He will fancy his chances against the Gujarat Giants raiding unit for sure.
Guajart Fortune Giants
The Gujarat Giants gave a tougher fight to the Patna Pirates than expected but fell short by one point in the end. They are looking like a shadow of their best and we really don't see them making it to the PKL 2021-22 playoffs. Still, this is one of the matches that they could possibly win. The Gujarat Giants let go of their best raider, Sachin Tanwar, ahead of this season and have not been able to replace him.
Rakesh Narwal and Ajay Kumar form one of the weakest raiding units in the entire tournament. Their defense is also underperforming with Parvesh Bhainswal being a non-entity in the tournament so far. Times are tough for the Gujarat Giants and they could find this match a slippery one as well.
The Gujarat Giants have the least number of successful tackles in PKL 2021-22. They also have the least number of raid points out of all teams so far.
We are going to bet on the Telugu Titans to win their first match of PKl 2021-22. The reason for this is quite simple. The Gujarat Giants have been the worst team in defense and in attack, statistically speaking, and their raiding unit is among the weakest this season. The Telugu Titans have massive weaknesses but we still rate their raiding unit a bit better than the Gujarat Giants.
