Telugu Titans
A narrow one-point loss for the Telugu Titans against Dabang Delhi K.C. would have hurt but we are sure they would have come away with a lot of hope in their hearts. Not only did Siddharth Desai put in his best performance of the season with 8 raid points, but Suraj Desai (Siddharth’s brother) scored 18 raid points on debut.
That is the most for any player in the history of the PKL and incidentally broke Siddharth’s record.
The two Desai brothers are the heart of the Telugu Titans team and if they can continue to play in the same manner then we have no doubt they are going to turn things around for their team very soon.
The defense has been led admirably by Vishal Bhardwaj but a lackluster performance from Abozar Mohajermighani would be concerning. The Telugu Titans are an inexperienced team apart from some big names and this is why it is crucial that the leaders of the side help take the youngsters along with them.
The Telugu Titans will be desperate for a victory and they must make sure that they don’t let that turn into unforced errors on the mat.
Patna Pirates
A strong performance in the opening match of PKL 2019 went unrewarded for the Patna Pirates. Pardeep Narwal started the tournament in style as he scored a Super-10 and continued to torment the defenders.
We think he is going to be very excited at the prospect of playing against the Telugu Titans defense. There are plenty of weak spots in this defense that can be exploited, particularly by someone with immaculate footwork like Pardeep Narwal.
He is going to be joined on the offense by Vikas Jaglan, Mohammad Esmaeil Maghsoudlou, and Jang Kun Lee. We saw enough of Mohammad Esmaeil Maghsoudlou’s prowess in the first match to understand what kind of a force he can be moving forward.
The Iranian managed to get six raid points and three tackle points in his first PKL match and there is no reason to believe why he cannot consistently repeat such performances.
The defense of the Patna Pirates is going to have a real challenge on its hands coming up against the Desai brothers.
Surendar Nada, Jaideep, and Jawahar Dagar are going to have to ensure they don’t allow Siddharth to build up any sort of momentum otherwise they may be knocked out of this contest.

The performance of Suraj Desai in the previous match has allowed us an excellent low-cost option to include in our team and thus pick most of the other remaining big players for this match.
Defenders
We have selected Vishal Bhardwaj and Neeraj Kumar from this category. Vishal Bhardwaj is a defender of better quality than all others, while Neeraj Kumar has picked up some useful points for the Patna Pirates as well.
All-rounder
Vikas Jaglan is going to be used as a raider primarily while Farhad Milaghardan has been effective on both ends of the mat. We are comfortable having both of these players as our all-rounders for this match.
Raiders
Mohammad Esmaeil Maghsoudlou is going to be a true all-rounder. We are very excited to have him in the team and recommend picking him as captain. The fact that is available at this low price and just as a raider is not going to last for very long.
