Telugu Titans
The Telugu Titans are picking up some momentum and seem to have moved up from the bottom of the table. The story of this tournament has been the brilliance of Vishal Bhardwaj who has been extremely consistent from the very beginning.
His ability to get tackle points against all the raiders he has played is impressive and is going to make life tough for Puneri Paltan. Abozar Mohajermighani, C Arun and an excellent all-round performance from Farhad Milagharden helped him out in the previous match as well.
If the defense can continue in the same vein then there is no reason why they cannot tie down a vulnerable Puneri Paltan defense.
The spotlight is going to be on Siddharth Desai in the offense once again as the entire PKL looks for him to slowly make his way to his best. He has been getting points regularly in the last few matches and he could be about to break free from his poor form.
The Telugu Titans look poised to continue their upward climb in PKL 2019.
Puneri Paltan
Puneri Paltan also has a very strong defense led by Surjeet Singh and Girish Maruti Ernak. The pair of them will come aggressively at the Desai brothers and anyone else that the Telugu Titans throws at them.
We don’t think the Puneri Paltan defense is going to much of a problem though. It is their offense that has let them down and that knot is not going to unravel itself.
Manjeet and Pankaj Mohite took the lead in scoring points in the previous match while Nitin Tomar continues to remain absent from the larger scheme of things.
Pankaj Mohite has established himself as the lead raider right now but we can’t help think that the experience Nitin Tomar has is going to be invaluable against a very strong Telugu Titans defense.
Puneri Paltan needs to go back to doing the basics right and seeing where they stand at the end of the first half before taking risks.
The head to head between the Telugu Titans and Puneri Paltan is very tight. The Telugu Titans hold a 6-5 lead over Puneri Paltan with an additional match tied as well.
We think the Telugu Titans have an excellent chance of winning this match. Not only do they have the better defense but that their raiders are also much more effective currently.
