The Tamil Thalaivas may be at the last place in Zone B standings right now but they are only 11 points away from the third place team. The tight nature of the Zone B teams means that a couple of wins could change the entire complexion of the current status.
The Tamil Thalaivas lost five matches in a row but their recent form has been much better. They have won two out of their last three matches including their best performance of the season so far. The Tamil Thalaivas have a strong offensive unit and that is what they will be counting on to get the job done once again.
Manjeet Chillar, Amit Hooda, Ajay Thakur, and Sukesh hedge were all in the points in the last match. This bodes well for the Tamil Thalaivas because their raiding unit can be very dangerous when in full flow.
Sunil and Amit Hooda will lead the defense for the Tamil Thalaivas. Hooda has 25 tackle points and 11 assists this season for the Tamil Thalaivas. His battle against Vikash Khandola is going to be decisive in this match.
The Haryana Steelers pulled off an excellent win against U Mumba in the last match. It was a win that kept them alive in the tournament and would have undoubtedly filled them with confidence at getting the better of the best team in Pro Kabaddi 6 so far.
Vikash Khandola was unstoppable in that match with 15 raid points while Naveen scored 5 points to help keep the pressure on u Mumba. Both of these players will be crucial against the defense of the Tamil Thalaivas.
Vikash Khandola has reached 98 points for this season of the PKL already and he is on the verge of completing his first every season with more than 100 points. If he can get some good support from Naveen then they will be a tough duo to stop.
Sunil registered a High 5 in the last match and was instrumental in the win for the Haryana Steelers. This is the first season of the PKL for Sunil and to have scored 23 tackle points already is very impressive. Add 16 assists to that and it is easy to see why he will once again lead the defense for the Haryana Steelers.
This is only the second meeting between the Haryana Steelers and the Tamil Thalaivas in Pro Kabaddi history. That last match was the third lowest scoring tie that has ever been recorded in this tournament. Both teams are now much better in their offense and we expect this to be a fast paced, high scoring affair.
The Haryana Steelers are coming into this match with good form and an excellent win against u Mumba to boost its confidence. We think that the offensive capabilities of both sides are pretty similar but that the Haryana Steelers edge ahead on defense.
Back the Haryana Steelers to win.
