Tamil Thalaivas
The Tamil Thalaivas staged a late comeback thanks to some brilliant Super-Tackles from Ran Singh. They had fallen behind quite a lot to Puneri Paltan and it seemed like a sure loss at one point of time. The Tamil Thalaivas will be concerned about their lack of raiding points for the second match running.
Rahul Chaudhari is in good form and scored another 8 points in the previous match but he has very little support. Ajay Thakur is having a really bad season and we must wonder about his long-term future in the league now. The ‘Iceman’ as he is called, seems to be frozen on the mat right now.
Manjeet Chillar was absent in the previous match but he is expected to be back for this contest. The Tamil Thalaivas have a very good side, well-rounded in all aspects on paper but that potential is not translating into the kind of performances they need to win consistently.
Jaipur Pink Panthers
Deepak Niwas Hooda seemed to be struggling with an injury or a niggle in the previous match against UP Yoddha and the effect that had on the team was immediate. The Jaipur Pink Panthers struggled without him and were unable to get over the line.
If Deepak Hooda has an injury or his movement is going to be hampered then the Jaipur Pink Panthers are in a world of trouble.
Nilesh Salunke and Deepak Narwal have put in some good performances but have benefitted from not having to take the pressure of the crunch moments. Things may change if that is the case now. Sandeep Dhull’s role in the defense is going to be crucial against Rahul Chaudhari. As the best defender this season, he is going to be expected to keep Rahul Chaudhari quiet in this match.
The Tamil Thalaivas have not been able to beat the Jaipur Pink Panthers in any of the two matches they have played against them do far. The Tamil Thalaivas will be keen to get their first win against the current top-team of the PKL.
We think that Deepak Niwas Hooda could be a bit tentative after the previous match and that could affect his performance. Without him, the Jaipur Pink Panthers are certainly beatable. We are going for the upset in this match and betting against the home town curse.
