Tamil Thalaivas
Just three wins in total and winless streak that now stretched to thirteen matches shows the kind of disaster this season has been for the Tamil Thalaivas. There is very little to look forward to them at this point in time.
The team is clearly going through the motions and is just on the mat because it has to be. The players have their futures to be concerned about but that is not a recipe for success or for improving the camaraderie in the future.
Ajith Kumar and Rahul Chaudhari are going to be lead raiders for this match. Both of them are very high-quality players and we expect them to be in the scheme of things in the next couple of seasons as well. The defense for the Tamil Thalaivas has been woeful.
They gave up 50 points to the Gujarat Fortunegiants and are going to struggle to keep U Mumba in check also.
U Mumba
A tight loss to the Bengaluru Bulls had put U Mumba in a slightly precarious position but none of the trailing teams were able to capitalize. We think U Mumba is now likely to qualify even if it loses this match and that should allow it to play freely.
U Mumba’s defense had an off-night against the Bengaluru Bulls and needs to come back hard.
Fazel Atrachali, Surjeet Singh, and Sandeep Narwal will want to make a statement against the Tamil Thalaivas offense. We just hope they don’t become too eager while trying to get tackle points.
Abhishek Singh and Arjun Deshwal will also be licking their lips at the prospect of playing against the weakest defense in the entire lineup. If there has been one area in which U Mumba needs to improve then it’s the defense.
This is as good a match as any to get the confidence of the raiders up and maybe try out a few new things.
No team has given away as many points as the Tamil Thalaivas this season. The head to head between the two sides is in U Mumba’s favor 3-2.
If the Tamil Thalaivas actually manage to win this game then it will be a huge upset. Perhaps one of the biggest in PKL 2019. Bet on U Mumba even if it is the boring bet to place.
Bet on U Mumba to win.
