UP Yoddha
UP Yoddha has been able to string together a phenomenal run of victories coming into this match and is going to be a serious title contender no matter what the outcome of this match is. The result of this match, though, could determine whether UP Yoddha finishes second in the league table or sixth.
We think UP is going to be playing its best starting seven in this match.
Nitesh Kumar and Sumit are going to be leading the defense once again with some support from Surender Gill who has been very impressive this season. Monu Goyat, quite frankly, does not really have the form to be playing in the starting seven but his experience may help him edge a spot anyway.
Shrikant Jadhav and Riashan Devadiga are the two leading raiders for UP Yoddha and are going to be difficult to stop. UP Yoddha has the side to be able to win against any defense on its day and it is the form of Shrikant Jadhav that has helped it raise its game after an ordinary start to the season.
Stopping Pawan Kumar Sehrawat is not going to be easy for the UP defenders and that is where the game is going to be won or lost.
Bengaluru Bulls
The Bengaluru Bulls have been carried to this stage in the competition by Pawan Kumar Sehrawat. It would not be unfair to say that the Bengaluru offense is nothing without him. This late in the tournament, though, there is no reason to look for another strategy.
We think that the Bengaluru Bulls have the defense needed to win this match and even go further in the playoffs. Mahender Singh, Saurabh Nandal, and Amit Sheoran are more than capable of stopping this UP Yoddha offense.
The question, though, is of their consistency. This same Bengaluru Bulls defense has veered from brilliant to the ridiculous in different matches. If Pawan Kumar Sehrawat does not bail them out and the defense has an ordinary night then the Bengaluru Bulls do not seem to have a backup plan.
The Bengaluru Bulls have a 5-2 advantage over UP Yoddha in head to head matches. UP, though, has already beaten the Bengaluru Bulls handsomely once this season and will be confident of doing the same.
It is unclear if both the teams are going to be playing their best sides in this match or opting to rest key players ahead of the playoffs. We advise waiting for the starting seven to be announced before placing your bets.
