Match Analysis

UP Yoddha

Not having Monu Goyat and Rishan Devadiga in the side proved to be a blessing for UP Yoddha as it allowed Shrikant Jadhav to play with absolute freedom as the lead raider. He scored 15 points against Puneri Paltan and ensured that UP Yoddha did not have to worry about points on its raiding front.

We are not sure if the two raiders are going to be back for UP Yoddha in this match but the team should look to play the same combination even if they are available. Substitutions can always be made to try and change the combination but a winning side should be rewarded.

Nitesh Kumar and Sumit are going to lead the defense against a very strong Bengal Warriors side. They must be at their best if they have to try and contain their raiding unit. No mistakes can be made in this match because UP Yoddha is sure to pay dearly for any errors in this match.

Bengal Warriors

K Prapanjan and Maninder Singh are locked in a healthy inter-team rivalry to establish themselves as the lead raider for the side. Both the players are making the most of their opportunities and striking at the opposition hard.

Both Prapanjan and Maninder had Super-10’s in their previous outing and are in excellent form. Maninder Singh has had some difficulties against Nitesh Kumar in the past, though, and will want to be careful against him in this match.

Mohammad Nabibakhsh is also a very important member of the Bengal Warriors raiding unit and we think he could be the joker in the pack in this match.

Rinku Narwal, Baldev Singh, and Jeeva Kumar are the three standout defenders for the Bengal Warriors. They will be very aggressive in attacking the UP Yoddha raiders to ensure they never get any momentum on their side.

Key stat

There have been seven matches between the Bengal Warriors and UP Yoddha in PKL history. UP Yoddha has won just one out of these matches while the Bengal Warriors have won three. The remaining three matches were tied.

Verdict

UP Yoddha has shown some signs of improvement as the PKL has progressed but the side still does not seem like a match for the Bengal Warriors. It suffered a heavy defeat when the two sides met earlier this season and we fear the same fate lies in store this time around as well.

Bet on the Bengal Warriors to win.
