U.P Yoddha may have lost its last three games but we feel it has been gradually getting better with each game. The problem for U.P Yoddha has been its defense. The team is letting through too many points in each game and then has to struggle from behind. The absence of Jeeva Kumar is being felt acutely in the U.P camp.
The raiding unit for the U.P Yoddha has had no difficulties, though. Players like Prasanth Kumar Rai, Shrikanth Jadhav, and the skipper, Rishan Davadiga have been very good on the offensive side. Scoring points is the first job of any team in Pro Kabaddi and this is why supporters of the U.P Yoddha will not be worried about the team's slow start.
The defense has to sort itself out and find a way to support the side, though, because the Bengal Warriors is another side that will exploit any weaknesses it can find.
The Bengal Warriors are continuing the good work they had put in last season. After a run till the Qualifier 2 season 5, Pro Kabaddi 6 has started off very nicely as well. Maninder Singh has been the destroyer in chief for the Bengal Warriors as he continues to weave magic around defenders. Singh will want to continue his fine form that has seen him average 10 points per game till now.
The Bengal Warriors are also helped by having a fantastic defense that preys on opposition raiders with ease. Led by captain PO Surjeet Singh, Shrikanth Tewthia, and Ran Singh, the Bengal Warriors are going to be very hard to score against.
The team has yet to give up more than 30 points in any of its matches. If it can continue to put up this same kind of defense then the job for the raiders becomes much easier.
There have been three matches played between the U.P Yoddha and the Bengal Warriors in Pro Kabaddi history. U.P Yoddha has yet to win a match in this head to head with a draw being the best result they have managed so far.
The Bengal Warriors have won two and lost no match in this rivalry.
The combination of a strong defense and an attack that will be hard to stop makes the Bengal Warriors a very dangerous team. They are in good form and have all facets of their side running smoothly. They are also up against a side that has lost three matches on the trot and is struggling to get its combination right.
Back the Bengal Warriors to win.
