The raiding unit of UP Yoddha is quite impressive after the return of Rishank Devadiga. With Monu Goyat and Shrikant Jadhav in the side, there is enough experience to expect consistency from the trio. The form of Monu Goyat is concerning to us and we think a lot will depend on the form and fitness of Rishank Devadiga moving forward.
Nitesh Kumar is the star of the defense as well as the captain of the side. He is surrounded by a number of promising players but it is he who needs to make the big moves and set an example.
Tamil Thalaivas
A brilliant come from behind victory would have given the Tamil Thalaivas immense confidence coming into this match. Rahul Chaudhari has been brilliant for them this season and his partnership with Ajay Thakur is sensational.
There is room for improvement as we don’t think Ajay Thakur has hit his prime form just yet.
With Manjeet Chillar as the leading defender for the side right now and experienced players like Mohit Chillar and Ran Singh to aid him, the Tamil Thalaivas appear to be a far stronger side than UP Yoddha at the moment.
There have been six matches played between the Tamil Thalaivas and UP Yoddha in the past. Each side has won two matches while two have been tied.
UP Yoddha is a dangerous team that is struggling to find the right rhythm to its game. It has the raiders to be able to cause an upset but it does not quite seem to be in the right frame of mind. Tempting as it may be, we would advise against backing UP Yoddha.
